March 2019 - 5th Myanmar Cardiac Society Conference
The Myanmar Cardiac Society is relatively young and we are always happy to support them. This is their 5th National Scientific Conference held in the historic city of Yangon. We used this opportunity for the ASEAN Societies to have their Council Meeting.
March 2019 - American College of Cardiology Annual Scientific Session (New Orleans)
American College of Cardiology's 68th Annual Scientific Session was held on the 16 - 18 March 16, 2019 at New Orleans. I had to transit via Newark Airport and caught the sight of the Freedom Tower at dawn. Actually this is my first ACC meeting ever. My colleague Dr Ho Kheng Thye had a poster based on some work we had done while in private practice on CT imaging.

Eugene Braunwald speaking after the groundbreaking PARTNER-3 data was released showing how key-hole aortic valve replacement can be performed in low risk patients 4. Dr Roberto Canessa's personal story on how when he as a 19 year old medical student; survived the Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crash, and how it changed him.

September 2019 ACC-JCC (Nagoya)
American College of Cardiology (ACC) has been hosting an ACC-Asia event annually since 2017 and in 2019, this was in collaboration with Japanese College of Cardiology. This meeting was chaired by Dr Keiichi Fukuda and Dr Aaron Kugelmass.

The 24th AFC Congress was held in conjunction with the 28th Annual Scientific Meeting Indonesia Heart Association (ASMIHA) at the ICE BSD convention center in Jakarta, Indonesia.
